I don't know about any hidden message. I do love the symbolism of the metaphor they use for the song: The maples are those who feel weak, and the oaks are those who feel or seem strong. If we don't both get along, we're doomed to destruction, like the trees in the song. :D Any other interpretations are welcome. If there's a context I just don't know about, I'd love to hear it. Tnx
